In Rememberance

War is never justified, and I don't celebrate it's victories and defeats. However, that said, before the end of National Service in the UK.... Thousands of people lost their lives when it wasn't even their choice to fight. I want to remember them and their families.

This Poppy field photo was taken a week ago at Compton Abbas. How strange to see a whole field full of popies at this time of year.

Returning from Work....

2 weeks of a difficult work life have me wondering about balance again. This must be a mythical term.

Preparation, Time pressure, Long hours, Weekend working... Leads to Dissatisfaction, Un-fulfilment, Disappointment... When all does not proceed according to plan.


But wait!

There is value in salvage

I mustn't give up


Taking time in Corfe Castle, which I have passed dozens of times on my way to Swanage in the last two years, quickly brings some equilibrium. How thankful I am to have taken this opportunity to enjoy this lovely Dorest village.

Breath of Fresh Ayr

Just another town centre? Somehow I think not - what is it about Scotland I love? Taking a well deserved time out to recharge, refresh, and regather all the elements of my fragmented self. I'm looking forward to inspecting them in detail on my week long retreat which starts tomorrow.
